70 442 fan clutch

I'm putting my 70 442 with a 455 back to the original cooling system.
It has an electric fan setup I'm getting rid of.
Question: Did this car come with a thermal or non-thermal fan clutch?
It's a non A/C car.

This is a completely all original car, except for thje fan set up.

Thanks

I don't think that they used a non-thermal fan clutch. If it had a clutch at all then it was thermostatically controlled and otherwise there was no clutch. Even though the car did not have A/C it may have had HD cooling which would have also come with a (thermostatic) clutch. I don't know if that was an automatic option with a big block or 442. Is the core support made for a four core radiator?
