I have a 1969 Toronado 455
Does any one know if there is an aluminum intake manifold available for this car?

 

There are plenty of aftermarket aluminum intakes available for the 455 Olds. If the engine is still in the Toro though you may have hood clearance trouble. The early year Toro's had a factory intake that was sunken so the hood would close without interference. Back in the day aftermarket catalogs would say "doesnt fit Toronado" because usually these manifolds are taller than stock and not sunken down like factory.

 

Yes, you will have clearence problems in a Toronado. Performance wise I don't think you will gain anything but it will save some weight. I have heard the Toro intakes flow pretty good. Ken
