69' 455 parts value?

so, I have started to build my 70' 455, and have a 69' 455 that I will be selling part from. The block is not good, has a few waterjacket cracks, but I will be selling the C heads, and the internals that are worth selling. My question is this: what is worth selling and how much are the parts worth?

thanks !!!!!

I would think Shipping would be a major factor. Where are you located?

yes I think you are right. I know the heads alone would be close to 100 bones to ship! I am in Northern Utah. I may place them on a local ad and see what i can get. I was just wondering what kind of dollar value each component would have.

I have seen the C heads go for$200 in rebuildable condition, more if ready to run.

thanks olds425!!!!! is there any use out of cams, cranks, pistons? they seem to be prety new, its was rebuild recently. the crank is the old steel one if that matters? im more a body man, not very smart when it comes to the machanics. that is why I love this site and how willing people are to share knowledge here!

Post up a casting number off that crank, or look it up in the wiki. some of them are very desirable for building stroker engines for racing and that kind of thing. Those things tend to sell even with steep shipping.

How bad are the water jacket cracks? Some guys like to put block filler in their blocks, and a block like that would still be usable to them.

I do not know, I am more of a body and paint guy, this engine build is brand new to me. I had two 455's and im using the other one. This one is out of a 69 olds and the cracks you see are thru the water jackets. other than that I am prety much clueless. as far as how much? I wouldnt know that either. and im sure it depends on where you are as it would be nice to get it to you rather than ship it. I cant imagine how much that would cost! anyway, that isnt very usefull info im sure, let me know if you want to do anything. That was my reason for starting this post was to find some kind of value.
