69 442 Qjet Carb

Have a original 400 big block engine in my 69 442. However, the carb is from a 72 442 (7042250). Looking to buy an original 69 442 qjet carb (7029251). What difference performance wise can I expect in using the 72 carb instead of the correct 69 carb?

Also, looking at some 69 carbs on ebay: would you recommend one over the other? (See below for links):

Or if anyone has one they can sell me please lmk.

Thank you!

Here's the metering jet/rod info I have for the 69 and 72 carbs. The 72 carb is a bit leaner but you can always change the jets and rods to tune it for your application.

If you want an original I'm pretty sure I've got an extra. I'll send you a PM

Could use a number matching 69 H/O 3.90 no A/C carb, intake and exhaust manifolds. Of course I would take a complete engine or trans for spares if you had them.

There are no numbers that "match" on the carb. The CORRECT number for a 1969 H/O is 7029251, which is the same carb used on every RWD 455 that year. You might have better luck posting this in PARTS WANTED instead of hijacking this thread.

I am sorry Joe. New to site and unusual layout. Got ahold of who I needed so I wont "hijack" thread.
