Heyo! I today restored a sky rocket air cleaner. It looks great but my Dynammic 88 did not come with the starfire sky rocket motor. Does anyone know what the Rocket air cleaner looks like or have a picture?

That's actually a 63 air cleaner. 63 had the nipple on the snout for PCV hose, 64 had a grommeted hole for a steel PCV tube.

The Rocket air cleaner for 2-barrel is made the same way but is smaller, painted black and has a longer narrower snout. Its piepan and decal simply say "Rocket" in a different script. I have trouble linking pictures with this phone but someone will be able to.

What do you have for a carb ? Two or four barrel ?
If you have a four barrel , then it is a Skyrocket engine .
Skyrocket engines were optional in Dynamic 88's .
Also in the last 58 years , someone may have installed a 63 or 64 Skyrocket engine after the original failed .

BTW I have a spare PCV hose for that air cleaner . PM me .

 

I bought this aircleaner off ebay for $60. Mine never came with one My motor is the Rocket 2 bbl 10.25:1 motor

 

That air cleaner won't fit a two barrel .
This is the air cleaner you should look for ;

 

You did a nice job on that air cleaner, I wonder if you could make a adapter ring to make it fit on your 2bbl? Work until you can get one for a 2bbl?
