455 harmic balancer bolt

Seems that the threads are screwed up on the crank of my 455 motor for the harmonic balancer. Does anyone know the size tap I will need to clean em up? It is pretty big bolt. I am guessing 5/8 diameter or more.

Should be 3/4-16, here is a tap recommended to a member with a similar problem.

Click on the Amazon link.

Be sure to check the first two or three threads on the bolt. I like to keep a small three cornered file around to touch up dings.

I got a new bolt. When I tried to start it by hand, it bound after i turn. I didnt want to force it and ruin the new bolt, si I am going to retap the crank threads. They are slightly burred.
