455?

just picked up the motor for our projcet and we`re having discussion on where you apply the fitting for the oil pressure gage. i say on top of the timing chain cover. as you might pick up on, we`re new to the olds world. any help on this please? thanks

If your talking about the 1/4" threaded hole on the drivers side on the top casting of the block then you are correct.

Here's a picture of a 350 motor, but the hole for the fitting is in the same place on the 455. I have an aftermarket gauge on this car with the plastic line. I plan to change that over to copper before I drive the car again.
