425 exhaust / headers in 1953 88

In process of assembly of 67 Toro 425 to go in 1953 88 Hardtop.Car will be for street use. Have grafted in a 1975 N---(Omega) front end. Have ordered Omega front motor mounts. Using a Turbo 400 -will I need to fabricate a trans mount? Also, as it appears the Toro exhaust manifolds will not work, would appreciate advice as to what exhaust system to use in the N---/53 frame combination ( stock dual exhaust manifolds ?, Headers ?, Shorty headers ? ) Thanks, John .

Yes you will have to fabricate a rear trans mount should be easy. I believe your car has a X frame so angle iron or thick flat stock should work fine. I used W/Z cast iron manifolds on my 57 Olds and they worked great. Don't know about headers someone else will have to chime in on that.

Yes, Toro manifolds definitely won't work. You need RWD manifolds from either a 71-76 full size or (preferably) the W/Z manifolds from a 69-72 442. The latter are being repro'd. You will need to fabricate a trans mount because the 53 used mounts on the sides of the bellhousing. Use a universal trans mount crossmember.
