394 freeze plugs

394 freeze plugs

Does anyone know what size the freeze plugs are in the sides of the block??

They measure about 2.02, or use Dorman part 565-044

My Pioneer catalog say 2 1/64" Pioneer part number EPC89 Your machine shop should be able to get them for you.

Now you know the size, I went to my local car parts store and grabbed a few generic, fit any car plugs.

While I was under there replacing the plug behind the starter motor, I checked the others. Glad I did. Ended up replacing two or three that afternoon.

Thankfully none replaced were behind the engine mounts.
