216 B-R vs 216

Hi Guys,

My 455s use Delco ignition coils with "216 B-R" embossed on the side. I just picked up a beautiful Delco coil with "216" embossed on it, but no "B-R". Anybody know what the "B-R" stands for?

thanks,
bob

Probably D-R for Delco-Remy!

No, it's definitely a "B"-"R", not a "D". I've seen other number Delco coils with the "B-R" embossed on them as well.

You mean I've stumped you guys????? )

Take care,
bob
