engine boggs down at wot , diesels 1/2 the time at shutdown
and if left undriven for a few days ,she wont start unless gas is poured into carb, then it runs fine.
changed a dirty fuel filter did not fix the issue. otherwise runs and drives fine with lots of power.
any suggestions?

 

Fuel pump failing, bad rubber hose at fuel pump and/or tank allowing air to get pulled in instead of fuel, clogged sock in tank? Does it bog on a full tank of gas or only when it gets low? Bogging on a low tank only would indicate a clogged sock. If the fuel filter was filthy the inside of the carb may be dirty.

Can you hear the secondaries on the carb opening?
