How many grooves on the crank pulley on a 455 in a 1970 442 with a/C have? Is there a difference between a non-a/c pulley and an a/c pulley? Thanks in advance!

 

I think the AC equipped cars have three groove pulleys: water pump and power steering, water pump, power steering and alternator, and water pump and AC.

The engine in this image doesn't have the AC compressor installed, but you can see the other pulleys.

 

agree w Ken AC has 3 grooves i would guess non AC has 2 grooves, I have the 3 groove pully on my car w no AC currently but pass side alternator and there is an unused groove
