1969 Olds 442 Throttle Cable Needed

Hi Everyone,

I am have some trouble finding a replacement throttle cable for my car. It is for a 455 in my 1969 Olds 442. I ordered what I thought would have been the correct one off of Summit and when I unboxed it, it was the wrong one. The picture associated with the cable was completely incorrect.

This is what I thought I ordered:

And this is what I got:

I am hoping there is a cable out there that I could just order from Rockauto or Summit, as they ship to Canada without the hassle of Brokerage fees. Even if NAPA is able to order a part#, that would be best.

Thanks again.

Fusick has what you need. Will they not ship to Canada? How about any of the other Olds aftermarket retailers?

Hi, yes they do Ship to Canada. i ordered alot of parts from them last year and with the duties and brokerage fees, the amount paid was huge.

I am just thinking the cable on Fusick is about $50 give or take, it will be more than double that when i get it at my place..

I actually just ordered the rubber grommet that goes in the eyelet of the carb side of my existing cable from Inline tube. That was all that was missing from my existing cable. The cable itself is in great shape, no other issues with it.

The only reason I was looking at Summit and Rockauto was because the price at checkout is the price paid, there are no other surprises when it arrives here in BC.

Thanks again,, Am

Gotcha! I didn't realize it was so expensive to ship across the border.

There are brokerage fees to deal with. Some brokers charge more than others.

The Parts Place has the correct style cable (on ebay...see link below) and they show "free shipping" (including Canada).
EDIT/ADD: Looks like shipping to Canada may cost $9.80

I took a look, it doesn't say free.

Thanks for taking a look for me, I ordered the rubber grommet that seemed to be missing from my existing cable....I will see how that works out, I may eventually have to order it from the Parts Place. Before Covid, I used to go over the border and grab my parts from Sumas. The 72 hr cross border crossing with no PCR test, will soon be open, but I don't think getting 442 parts is an essential service.
