Question 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Carburetor, Intake Manifold and Dual Exhaust

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to this forum and just have a question about my car. I have a 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 425 Big Block and am wanting to put on a 4 barrel carburetor, a new intake manifold and dual exhaust. The car currently has a 2 barrel carburetor setup and single exhaust and am wondering if any of you have suggestions on some good carburetors, intake manifolds, and dual exhaust setups. Do I need to get new headers as well? Thank you!

No headers available, you need the repo left side dual exhaust manifold from Ebay or Thornton. The rt side ex manifold crossover pipe gets capped. Many choices on carbs and intakes I recommend stock quadrajet and factory cast iron intake, this combo saves headaches...

Agreed. A 68-69 J manifold with the divorced choke and either a 7029251 or 252 would be a nice trouble free set-up. Welcome to CO Jason. I will be following along.

Remember on carb selection and linkage that car may have a switch pitch converter.

OP, can you post a picture of your carb linkage on the driver's side?

I found this intake manifold. It's off of a 1970 455 Oldsmobile. Would this intake manifold work for my 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-...QAAOSwPPlebnQc

Yes that will work but you would need the appropriate carb that has a choke set up for the heat tube on the manifold. A 66 4BBL intake is set up for a divorced choke quadrajet carb

If you're in SoCal (where that intake is located), I have a 4bbl intake from a 425 you can just have. I have no use for it. Shoot me a PM if interested.
