1964 Oldsmobile Starfire

I just got this car and joined this site. I have add a link to you tube where you can hear the motor running after sitting for at least 7 years. The valve train was very loud. I changed the oil and added some Rislone and it seems to be not as loud (pt 2 )on you tube. the engine has 40 psi oil pressure and i did a compression check and the psi is between 110-180 only one cylinder is low.

Welcome to CO

You got her running that's a start. Try draining a quart of oil out and adding a quart of ATF and run for a while. Change oil again you might be surprised that it quiets down even more

I'll give that a shot. I was thinking of trying to soak the cylinders with pb blaster and then use sea foam with the vacuum hose from the power brake booster.
I have a friend rebuilding the Rochester 4gc. Do you know where I can get new linkage and throttle cable and springs and the kick down linkage for the transmission?
