1958 J2 Intake question

Can a J2 intake fit onto stock 371 4 barrel heads? An Olds engine builder told a friend of mine that you had to have J2 specific heads, but all the information I can find says stock heads will work.

That engine builder don't know Jack $hit !
Look it up in the Master parts book . Same head J-2 or not .
