19/32 core plug

Freeze plugs kits come with a 19/32 core plug. Does anyone know where (or IF) that core is used. I'm prepping my block and have installed all of the other various plugs (including freeze plugs, the fore/aft .040 holey plugs, the pipe plugs and the LH aft core plug). But I have this little 19/32 sucker left over and want to be sure it's not needed. My luck I'd toss the 2 cent plug in the trash only to have to pull the motor to rectify the situation.

I've searched and can't seem to find a conclusive answer and therefore suspect the question comes up frequently. I found one reference that mentioned 76-77 models may use it...and another person hypothesized it was used somewhere in the oil pump.

Does anyone know for sure where the 19/32 core plug that is included in most plug kits is actually used ?

Thanks
Adrian

Put a tag on on it and put it in your "small parts" drawer in your toolbox.
