Mysterious oil pressure problem on my '95 Aurora

So I've had this '95 Aurora for about three years. It started out as an almost daily driver (swapped out about evenly with the '97 LSS I had when I got it) but these days it's mostly a driveway ornament because it won't maintain oil pressure. Once the engine fully warms up, the oil pressure drops off to nothing at stoplights. It usually works okay in cold weather (mid-60s or below) but have gotten the occasional low oil pressure warning (LOP) when it's in the 40s. Above 75 degrees outside, forget about it. The car's throwing LOP's within five or ten minutes of starting out. I've replaced the thermostat and put 10w40 oil in it but I'm really kind of at a loss. Part of me just wants to sell the car and let it be someone else's problem.

Have you put a mechanical gauge on it to see what the pressure is?

There is a lot of info on the Aurora forum about this problem... Take a look and see if it might help...
