I just had a reply from the heritage center, subject was production numbers for 2004 Aleros. No penetration numbers available anymore i.e. by option codes or colors!

by the numbers from askinformation.com silver ranks #1 for 2004 @16%
gold ranks #9 @2% total sold in U.S.
total number of paint choices for GLS was 8 excluding #9 Dark Cherry final 500 color and 4 doors only.

Running the numbers by percentages as low as 10 by 2% and by color, 1 of 8 colors offered or 12% as high as 57 produced!

Thoughts or mathematcians.
