E in group 2 is probably vinyl top since this one has it in the paint code and C is probably Chrome window sill moldings.

67 Trim tag

Hey thanks Scot
It is an A/C car, no vinyl top. Dosent appear it ever had a vinyl top but that could have been changed over the years. Ill get in the trunk and look for the holes that may have been closed for the vinyl trim clips. It has elec. ant., remote mirror, tic toc tach, headrest, 3.90 "P" type posi, and UHV ignition which I think may have been added later on. I do think it has been repainted long ago but perhaps if it had a vinyl top that's when it went away.
Thanks again for your knowledge

Hey Scot
the paint code is Y-2 wouldn't that mean saffron top and bottom? or would that be YY?

In case you all are wondering, C is indeed chrome window moldings, but it's
in group 4.

Y-Y is solid color. Y-2 is black vinyl or black convertible. I am not sure what two tone top metal painted is.

That's a high option car.

Sounds like a painted top in a contrasting color, which this car doesn't have according to the codes.

You are quite welcome Steve and like everyone else pointed out the cowl tag says it was born with a vinyl top since it isn't a convertible.
