1972 442 w-30
Hello,
No 1.
Is anyone aware of a 72 w-30 having G heads originally put on by the factory? Casting numbers for either a G or Ga head are the same 409100. I have seen an "X" vin 72 w-30 with G heads. Could this be a late '71 build car?
No. 2
Where are the casting numbers located on the Q-jets?
Please advise and thanks!

What is the build date of the car in question?
The main info on the quadrajet is on the drivers side near the back. should be 7042953 if I remember correctly followed by two letter that are for the pant and underneath that 4 numbers which is the Julian build date.
Follow up.....
OldsDave, Kurt: Thanks for the feedback! Was told that the motor was rebuilt many years ago... higher likelihood the heads were switched at that time.
Joe: Q-jets--> Looking for the numbers that ID the carb's specific application so.... that would be the stamped ID number as you alluded to. I was able to locate a youtube video that helped me find where to look!.... Thanks!
Steven: Thanks! That's the same info from the video!
