Does anyone know the correct silver color for the front grill and rear tail panel on a 64 442?

 

At a guess, I'd go with Argent for the grille and IIRC the rear panel was a potmetal insert.

 

Also on this subject, what is the name of this (photo attached) front silver trim piece between the front grille and bumper on a 64 cutlass? It is 69.5" long and a few inches thick. Do you suggest painting it the same color as the grill or body? I have seen both done. ( I am also searching for a replacement if anyone has one.)

 

No photo, but are you talking about the valance?

 

That sounds like it may be it. It sits above the bumper and below the grille. Thank you. (My picture failed to upload.) Any direction on finding a valance for a 1964 cutlass F-85 would be appreciated. Mine is rusted badly at each end.
