What would you do?

I have two "W" exhaust manifolds on my '70 W-30. The passenger side exhaust is from a 1966 W-30.

My '70 W-30 is pretty correct. I've got the correct rear, trans, dist, carb, intake, air assembly, master cylinder, rad, glass, heads, factory service block () you get the picture.

However. Two of the 5 previous owners were Olds enthusiasts. These enthusiasts also both owned '66 W-30'. Somewhere along the line, one of them must have inadvertently put one of the '66 manifolds on the '70. Would you try and hunt down a "Z" manifold or just accept this "error" as part of the cars history?

I wouldn't loose sleep about it...just keep your eye out for the Z manifold.
One will come along eventually.
Unless you're planning on selling it or entering an OCA show, I doubt
many will call you on it.

You could always go here if it's making you crazy...you OCD?

The 66 "W-30" manifold is the same as used on any other 66 442. It also lacks the internal runners that improve flow on the 69-72 W/Z parts.

OCD? No, but I have been told that I'm wound a little tight.

Checked Thornton out but they don't carry date codes. I'm sorry, was I being **** again?
