I have ordered a fiberglass w-25 hood and latches for my '71 442. The vendor I got the hood from don't make any mention of using the lightweight low tension hood springs, but I want to use them anyway just in case. Anybody have any experience with LTD fiberglass off ebay that sells the low tension springs ?? Any other sources for low tension springs?

Based on info posted here on previous threads, just yesterday I ordered a set of the low tension springs for a Fiber Concepts hood from The Parts Place.

But, I'm keeping my tired, old steel hood springs just in case....

Don't throw those old springs away just yet. I bought the low tension & they wouldn't hold the hood up (all glass). Put the originals on & still going 10+ years later. That hood has been opened & closed A LOT of times - I'm a fairly **** tuner.

I have been looking to add the w-25 hood to my 71 442 as well. Where did you orders yours from? How much did it cost you? Let me know how it turns out. Thanks
