Transmission pan

Anyone have a source for a th400 trans pan that is stamped hydramatic? Seems to be no reproductions available and all the ones that come up on eBay look pretty rough. Were there any deep aluminum pans available as a dealer accessory back then? Just trying to find something that is acceptable for a original restoration.

Deep pans, aluminum or otherwise, won't be acceptable for an "original" restoration. Good used is your only option. And which style do you need, 65-67 or 68-up? There were about a bazillion of the latter made.

I have a stack of 400 pans, I’ll look and see if any are in good shape. I assume you are looking for the shallow pan?

You might also call Coan Engineering here in Kokomo Indiana, Teal Automotive in Dunkirk Indiana, Extreme Automatics in Cincinnati, basically anybody that builds high performance transmissions.

Yes looking for a shallow pan for a 1970. I believe this is what I need, the car had an aftermarket pan on it when I got it. All of them we have found are in too poor of shape to use on a nice resto. I did come across a nice deep (truck?) pan but really want the correct shallow pan.
