so now what:1969 442 post coupe

have my 1969 442 post cpe. with #'s matching engine,and excellent original interior with broacast sheet.body and frame rust free.fixed washer pump,tic-toc-tac and radio and installed new windshield...now wondering what to do?have $500.00/month to spend for next few years,and wonder what can be done to increase performance and enjoyment.want to burn some rubber,and go to shows and club events.will drive all sunny days april to october.any suggestions from olds fans who've been down this road? will provide car specs and pics as requested....derek

Sounds to me like she's ready to roll so my suggestion is GET IN IT AND DRIVE! I know that's probably not what you were looking for but I can't think of anything better.

Consider the pics and specs requested! I'd like to see a scan of the broadcast sheet if possible. Post coupes rule!
What to do? That really depends on what *you* want to do. Restoration? If so what kind, and to what degree. Stock? or not?
For sure, don't feel you need to have a car "finished" to go cruising, and to shows and events!

Enjoy the current one and stockpile parts for the next one?
Buy another car and build it to go racing?
Make donations to you classicoldsmobile brethren?

I'm sure everyone here can help you spend away!

I agree with wmachine--it all depends on what you want to do. Most of all though, just enjoy the time you spend on your hobby.
