Not this year, maybe next year. The pace car will be at the Henry Ford Motor Muster as part of the Indianapolis 500 themed vehicle display at the Greenfield Village. It's a special invite due to the 100th anniversary of Indy this year! Come out and see us! Father's day weekend, Sat. Sunday might be Eyes on Design downriver at the Ford family manison.

Jeff, Mostly I'm just curious. Didn't the 70 Rallye 350 just have color coded wheels with no trim rings? I noticed that yours has the trim rings, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of owners choice for appearance? Either way it looks good. They really stood out from the crowd in their day.

I'll answer the question about the Rallye 350 wheels. Yes, they came painted without trim rings, but trim rings could be ordered as an option. I've got the original window sticker for my Rallye & it was ordered with them, but I can't bring myself to install them cause once you do, the paint is scratched. Maybe I'm just to **** about these things.

Naw, I don't think you're being ****. I understand not wanting to damage something. You're right though, it is frustrating. I guess the Rallye 350 yellow wheels would be like putting trim rings on the 15X7 Chrome SS111's back in the 80's? Why would you do it? I think the look of the yellow wheel without the trim ring actually looks a little more cool because "all" the other rallye wheels seem to have trim rings. The lack of the trim ring makes the car pop a little better IMO.

I have seen lots of pics of Rallye 350's as a post coupe and hardtop coupe with the trim rings. That's why I thought I'd ask. Good to know info from your window sticker. Thank you.

Last weekend the #1 Olds 442 pace car was on display at the Motor Muster at the Henry Ford in the tent with the museum cars for the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500! It was awesome..so much fun! Then Sunday, Father's Day we went to the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House for Eyes on Design. We met so many nice people and made lots of new friends! What fun! We got invited to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago in November. We will definately being going to that. Thanks to everyone who made our weekend so great!

Are you still going to the playboy show in California. My 1971 may be at that event. I may also take my 1970 442 convertible to Chicago in November. It is supposed to be a must attend show. I guess I have to get it to the Nationals in Reno first and see what people think of the car.
