Need to find a Fuel Sending Unit for my 67 442

Hey everyone, I need your help. I've been searching around and I can't seem to find the proper replacement for my fuel sending unit. Most places I look don't have a unit for the 67. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

Can anyone point me to a site they trust and shows the fuel sending unit in stock w/ all hardware and filter?

Reason I need it is my fuel gauge doesn't seem to be getting a proper signal from the unit. I've tried to ground it better per suggestions on other threads, and it didn't seem to work. My gauge shows full all the time.

Thanks for your time and help.

Check out Chevy vendors. They have them for reasonable prices.

These Chevy ones look the same to me. Other than the filler neck the tanks do too.

I'm assuming its the 3/8" size, is that correct? From what I've been seeing around that should be the right size.

If I need a return line it looks like this wouldn't work. I'll double check that it needs the return line tonight.

Have your original rebuilt.

Plenty of places in Hemmings that do it.

I would verify that you don't have a bad gauge or bad wiring between the gauge and the sending unit before going through the trouble of replacing the sending unit.

Regardless of the condition of the sending unit and whether it's even hooked up or not, you should be able to force the gauge to read Empty by simply grounding the wire coming from the gauge to the sending unit with the ignition in the ON position. This would at least verify that your gauge is working correctly. There is usually a place in the wire in the rear license plate area where the wire from the sending unit connects to the wire from the gauge through a pull-apart connector. Pull this apart and ground the gauge side.

Until you verify that the gauge is working properly, you don't know that it isn't the problem, and wouldn't you hate to go through the trouble of buying and replacing the sending unit only to have your gauge still not work? I think I would.
