Inner Fenders

Looking at a '70 442 for sale. Have the build sheet for the car and it is a true 442. Were there red inner fenders on all 442s with the W25 hood option?

Thanks,
Frank from Virginia

No, only the W-30 had the red inner fenders.

Keep in mind that repro red inner fenders have been readily available for over a decade. Also, back in the day, W-30s were just old cars and it's not unheard of for red inner fenders to show up on non-W cars after a crash repair. I have a red inner that was painted black for just such a reason.

Hi; Just bought my 70 442 a month ago with a build sheet the car looks great then after crawling under I noticed the rear end had been changed from a posi to limited slip and from a 12 bolt to a 10 bolt and motor and tranny were not the original . My learning experience so just be aware. Thanks J.R.

"Posi" and "limited slip" are the same thing. Olds called it "anti-spin". It's all the same thing.
