impossible task...

Hi everyone , sorry to jump in but been think about this for a while so thought id give a try on here...
i don't have any information about the car but about 30/40 years ago maybe longer? my dad ( Anthony Cuddeford ) owned a convertible 442 which if i had to guess would have been black?
he doesn't have any pictures of the car nor can he remember the number plate..
i would guess the car was an import since he lived in either vauxhall or reigate in London ( England ) at the time...
was thinking if someone had seen his name on some old paperwork or maybe even remembers buying the car? then Im sure he would love to see it again as i am sure it was his favorite car he owned...
i understand this is a huge long shot but maybe there's a chance...
thanks anyway , enjoy your day!
Jack

Welcome to ClassicOlds, Jack!

We've got some Brits on here who've got a lot of experience with cars, and with the relatively few American cars "over there," so you never know, you might get lucky!

There were a lot more American cars in England and Germany than you would think.
US service members brought a lot of POVs from the US with them to their overseas assignments and they were left behind when transfered.

My dad always had American car like Cadillacs and a Lincoln? I wasn't born then , I've only seen one 442 for sale in England and one in person but neither a convertible so can't imagine there's too many about?
