Yes, all Olds motors 1964-1990 are externally the same. The intake manifold is different between the big and small block though.

The balancer for 64 is different. The timing mark is on the other side than 66 and up (maybe 65 too) From what I've been told, if you can get your hands on a timing tab from a newer motor and put it in place, your new balancer will work just fine.

The big block is 2 inches taller, so headers for a BBO will fit a small block, but be too close to the ground, unless you have shortie headers

The problem is the headers will fit the motor, but may not fit the car. There are not many headers available for the 64-67 as there is not much clearance.

As stated clearance is an issue. You may need to massage them a little to get a good fit. The problem is worse for big blocks.

BTW: would like to learn more about your '64 442. There are very few of us here that own the real deal. Do you have documents or are you basing it on key differences btw the frame and frame number. Frame number is on the rear, driver frame rail, after the exhaust hanger. let me know what you come up with.

Putting a 455 in a '64 frame is not a problem with bbo headers. I have done it a couple of times.
There is a problem with the small block in the 64/65 frame with headers. The only one I have done, was to move the engine back a little over an inch.

Check this out. Just what your looking for!!
