Die cast model

I am trying to find a die cast replica of a 1971 Olds 442 W-30 2 dr. hardtop like I once owned. Blue with black stripes. Any ideas?

Bear with me here...
The guy who is helping me paint my car has a black 69 4-4-2 with silver hood stripes. I wanted to get him something for Christmas and I found a die cast black 69 on the internet, but it had white stripes and W-30 emblems. I took it to a local hobby shop (car models). The guy behind the counter put me in contact with a local model builder who repainted the stripes and took off the W-30 emblems for $20. He even detailed out the interior and under the hood!

Maybe you could do the same.

Here is a link to a related post from another site. Amazing what some skill, steady hands, and a magnifier can do.

All I can say is that if I had that much free time, my REAL cars would be finished...

I know Johnny Lightning has a 1/64 '71 W-30 blue with a white vinyl top and stripes. I have all the Lane cars, and pretty much every single Olds made in 1/18 scale except for the most recent releases. (they don't call me Olznut for nuthin')

How about working on those cars instead of spending time sitting in front of the computer. It seems whenever I see your posts they seem to have a negative tone to them. Lighten up!

Darryl,
This thread is one year old and I can't figure out what you are referring to.

It is far less confusing when "quotes" are used properly.

He is another of those, who reads something into a post that the author did not write.

Really nice models. Wish they could give you the color on your own car.
