Cowl tag id

Hi Everyone, new to this forum so I appologize if this question is in the wrong spot. I bought (very cheap) a 71 442. However, there are some things wrong with the car and want to figure out if I should restore or restomod. The engine is a 350 Rocket, has wrong front end (a 72). So I'm trying to figure out what's right for the car. Did 442's have automatics with column shift? Can anyone help decipher the cowl tag? All I know is the car is a 442, convertible, and nortic blue. Any help is vastly appreciated!

Yes, many of them came from the factory like that, but few are still in that original configuration today.

The cowl tag won't tell you much about options.

The top line says you have a 1971 Oldsmobile (3) 442 (44) convertible (67) built at the Lansing plant.

Trim 983 is dark blue interior.
Paint 24 is "nordic blue poly" lower body color
Paint A is white upper body/convertible top color
02C is the build date, third week (C) of February (2), 1971.
