Seriously,
A good original bumper re-chromed by a quality plater, such as Tri-Cities, is better than any of the repro stuff you can buy.

This is true, but be prepared to spend 2X or more for a rechrome vs an imported repro. The last bumper I had done at Tri-City was $1200, and it was pretty straight to start with. That was two years ago, so don't expect it to be lower today. Despite that, I still use them over repros.

I don't need anything at the moment, but asking for future reference: Does Tri-City straighten bumpers, in addition to re-chroming? My '68 front and rear have slight deviations, but thankfully no major dents, dings, or bumps.

Yes, but obviously within reason. I've given them tweaked bumpers and they've straightened them and replated.

The repro stuff isn't cheap currently either - what was a few years ago under $300 shipped is now nearly 2x that.

I bought AMD front and rear (with trumpet cutouts) bumpers several years back and they are excellent quality replacements for the price I paid then - arguably still a good value now even at current prices compared to oem re-chromes if you're not otherwise restoring a pedigree car.

Yes, but there are no jigs. If you want the best fit for your car, do that yourself before you send it to TC. Buy or borrow a Hustler Stick.
