Brakes hub without rotor

Has anyone thought tried to do a hub for the front with new style rotors. I am not try to invent anything, just seeing if some one has done it yet to use their data.

I'm not sure what you mean, exactly, or even what year and model you're talking about, but one common brake upgrade for the A-body cars is to use a drum brake hub (after removing the drum from it) and sliding a 12" Corvette rotor over it. Weld short extensions to the caliper mounting bracket to space it half an inch further out, and use the single piston calipers from a half ton Chevy pickup with the 1.25" thick rotors. Easy and cheap big brake upgrade, but it won't clear 14" wheels, and probably won't clear any SSII/III wheels, even in 15" size due to the large dropped center of the rim.

Check out www.scarebird.com they sell a kit that uses the drum spindle and various other cars disc, caliper etc. They clear my sslll ( 15" )with a bit of room to spare.

That is was I was looking for. I have 15"s. I want rotors all the way around.

Thought about ABS but that is too much.
