Another inspection

I found another 442, this time a 1966 that looks good. Can you folks look her over and let me know what you think? Thanks for any help.

Looks nice Tom.
No power steering
and ask if it has disc brakes.
I see the metal disc on the pedal.

Yes it does look good................However it has 67 bucket seats, see the side release button, cracked dash pad white shift ****. The 68 up oil filler tube makes me wonder as to what the engine is. 67 decal on valve cover and painted air cleaner lid. Shoddy firewall detailing, black paint on everything.
Manual steering, it may have the quick ratio box.

Does the engine look like a 455?

Ask for the engine casting numbers and head letter.

Hey 66400, you sure know your Oldsmobile engines. The engine in the 442 is a 1968 455! Car was originally white and repainted in black. Dash does have a crack in it. Lowest asking price is $26,500.00.

Tom, nothing against a 68 455,
but for that kind of money it should
have the engine it was born with...

That thing isn't even worth half of what he's asking. It looks like he's going to have to sit on it awhile, unless he finds someone gullible with a fat wallet

Engine came out of a 1968 Oldsmobile 98. Engine has 30,000 miles on it and has never built rebuilt.
