71 radio capacitor

I posted this in the parts wanted section, but i was wondering if anyone would happen to have an extra radio capacitor they are willing to part with.

If this is not a concourse restoration, Napa part RR 175/176 can be a suitable repacement. You will just have to change the connector on the end.

Do you have the old resistor?

Yes, what happen was the end of the wire broke off the capacitor while I was under the dash one of the 100 times trying to install the dash and wiring. It is a matching number restoration, but I ended up having a stock AM radio gutted and replaced with new Kenwood guts along with the I-pod jack. Would you know if this capacitor is still needed with these newer type radios?

If you have radio interference while you drive, it might be necessary.

Most 60-70's cars have/had 3:
breaker points
ignition coil
blower motor (sometimes)

At the low cost of the capacitor, why not?

Thanks to Radioburningchrome with the Napa part number, I picked one up this afternoon. I just need to solder and shrink wrap the factory plug on.
