69 - 442#s mounting on fenders

I am wondering what is the best option to mount the 442#s on fenders. I am under the belief that access to the speed nuts is not possible. I know some people grind off the stem and use double stick tape, but that leaves them out a bit. Has anyone drilled and put in a plastic insert? If so what type?

thanks,
Steve

What you want to use are barrel nuts. They press into trim holes, and hold the emblems nicely.

The good part is that emblems can be removed for cleaning.

Auto body supply shops sell them.

Amazon Amazon

Did all of the emblems on my 442 with them.

Thats the kind of thing I had in mind. I don't need a 100 but if that's the solution so be it. I'll look a little to see if I can find less quantity.
Thanks

Find a local body supply store(Paint and Body), they should have them in individual amounts

It's not fun but you can get to them with the plastic fender wells removed! Like I said no fun!! Barrel nuts are a good way to go!
