69 442 post

Just picked up a 69 442 2dr post car. Have the original window sticker. Car came with a 3 speed tranny. It was built in Canada. I also have the protect-o -plate and a copy of the original title. Car was sold in West Virginia. Got alot of extra parts with the car also. Now it needs some work but it is all there. Even have the knock outs from the keys and the original owners manual. Can't wait to get started on it. So I have a question. Is these a rare build ?

Three-speeds are rare, but posts tended to have them at a larger percentage. And the Canadian build is rare, but I can't say how many. The good news is that if you visit GM of Canada's site, you can order the invoice and it should say . . . but I believe only if it was sold new in Canada.

What color is the car? What color stripes?

Yes, because both the Sport Coupe body style and the three speed manual were unpopular. This was the least expensive 442 you could order in 1969, especially if it came with the bench seat, which was a credit option.

Cool, another post car. I have a build thread going on mine. I'd love to see a good photo of your window sticker.
