69 442 Interior

A buddy of mine bought his 69 442 back in the early 80s. The interior was pulled out shortly after and put into storage. Question is, the previous owner told him the door panels had pockets on the sides. Was this something someone added back in the day or was this an option? Pics are attached of what he has.

Hey Tyler, those look like the snap ons that were commonly installed on truck grill covers for winter use. I'd bet you money that a PO prolly just did that himself.

I double checked the 69 SPECS to see if anything was there and - Nope! X2 what Rickman said

I saw a set of door panels for a '68 that had cup holders screwed into them and the seller tried to tell me they were an option in '68.

I've never seen a '69 with pockets in the door panels.

Yeah kinda figured they weren't original, but you never know. I gotta give the guy credit, Both panels had the clips in the exact same place!
