After completing the restoration of my '69 H/O a few months, I'm finally attempting the same for my '68 442.
The gentleman who restored the H/O towed the 442 from its long-time residence at a local airport hangar to his shop Sept 30.
The general next step is to finish assembly of the front clip (fenders, hood, bumper).
Other details need to be addressed also, for which I'll be seeking help from CO.
A couple photos of the move:
I'm sure it will turn out as nice as your H/O!! Nice color, can't wait to see some more pics
Not being a numbers-matching car, this one won't be quite as detail-correct as the H/O. Also I won't be as afraid to drive it.
Thankfully the resto guy is already progressing on it pretty well.
Ask away. Plenty of 8-9 owners here. More pix! Stick or Auto?
Body looks nice. I often wondered if I should have put the vinyl top back on mine during its resto. Still on the fence 30 years after. Maybe I should buy a stablemate w/o the vinyl...hummm...

There's no point in putting the vinyl top on unless you're going to paint it Saffron again...lol
Mike the Holiday twin to your vert was originally K code Ocean Turquoise with pearl gut and top. The 8 vert I had was Y code Saffron with pearl gut and black top. Wish I never sold it. Cant keep all of them.
Project status:
Car is mostly assembled. Have a few minor items to add.
Visited the car/restoration shop this past Friday. Was actually able to drive the car around the resto shop lot a little while.
Car runs well and sounds great, even with unchanged spark plugs from 12 years ago.
