65 442 value
65 442 value
Hello, I am looking at purchasing a 65 442 and im looking for help on the value of this car. The car has a 400 with E heads and runs well. It is originally a 4 speed car but the previous owner installed an automatic. The original trans comes with the car. It is a bench seat car and the interior is in good driver condition although it needs a new dash pad and the original steering wall is gone. It has manual brakes, steering and no AC. It is turquoise color but will need rear quarters, trunk pan and floor pans. The bumpers will need redone but all the trim is there and it comes with the original wheels and caps. Although it needs the mentioned sheet metal, the car runs and drives well and could be drivin as it’s being restored. What would be a fair price to pay for this car?
E block is the more common 39 degree lifter angle.
G block is the long stroke, less desirable engine.
Find out what differential housing it is. Type B, P, or O ? Or ?
Years ago my son bought a SS Chevelle, like that, had rust, thought was not to bad, and fixable. When we started repairing it, the rust you see is just part of the problem, it just got worst on every piece we took off. When done the only original sheet metal was the pas door. Did not take my son long, to see he would have been way ahead the spend more money for a better car. I would run from rust.
