344.....

When did 344 stop being used in the vin identifying a 442(model)I thought it was in 68 and 69 only, and got confused when I saw a 70 with these numbers in the Vin......

Thanks,
Ted

Thanks Mike. This was across the board, did not matter if built in Canadian or American plants?

Ted

I'm not familiar with the Oshawa plant idiosyncrasies but the only difference I've ever noticed is the cowl tags not the VIN

68-71 regardless of plant.

Also 1968 & 1969 were the only years that 442s were assembled in Oshawa. No Oldsmobiles were built there after the end of the 1969 model run.
