Just up the road from my workplace is an Oldsmobile 442 Calais. Black and Gold. Gold rims as on a 79 Hurst Olds, all the 442 badges, etc. etc. Been sitting for 20 years. Complete car, it pretty rough shape with surface rust. The guy wants 1,500 dollars for it. I know 886 were made. Is it worth taking a chance on?

 

If you end up buying the car, I have the correct NOS 442 emblems for the sail panels/decklid. These have the correct red insert, not like the later NOS that have the black insert.

 

The nicest one on the planet wont bring $10,000.00 so don't get upside down on it.
