1970 442 Convertible in Oregon

Hey everybody, I had the chance to meet Oregontopcat (Hi Dave!) and check out his 1970 442 Convertible this morning. Its one of those time capsule cars with lots of original parts still on it. My experience has been that many of these cars no longer have the original drivetrain, or that parts were changed so that many of the small detail item are long gone. Dave's car has the numbers matching engine with the bolt on parts that we checked correct. The OG transmission is there, and things like the correct exhaust heat riser shroud and the heater hose loop on the AC compressor brackets are there. The firewall has two ink stamps that are clear and easy to read. Cool Project that is going to be a really nice car when Dave is done. Dave, if you have time please create a thread in the Major Build section and keep us all updated on your progress. You can also use that thread to ask questions like bracing the body when you remove it from the frame. I know there's members here who have covered every step you'll be taking in your restoration project. Once again, welcome to the Classicoldsmobile community and congrats on the cool project car you've got!!! John

Way cool!
When I visit Oregon this spring (early-mid May) to look at property, I hope to meet up with you guys and see that '70 vert (if the weather cooperates)!
