1970 442 Advice

Hello fellow Olds enthusiasts! My current ride is a 1970 442 convertible with AC (and M14). I'm looking for anyone's advice with the following:
1. After 52-years with the same springs, my car is sitting a bit low. I measured the bottom of the rocker panel to the ground, and it measures 9-inches. I'd like to replace all four springs (and shocks) to get the car's stance just a bit higher than stock, and font to back even (no pitch). Your experience and spring manufacturer you used (as well as shocks) is appreciated. Photos would be helpful.

2. Installation of factory under-dash 8-track tape player. I looked in my 1970 chassis service manual and 1970 Fisher Body manual (as well as 1970 Cutlass/442 assembly manual), and I cannot find specs on to specific placement, and how to fasten to the dash. Any help and shared diagram or photos is appreciated!

3. Has anyone heard of front-passenger shoulder harness / belts being available for GM A-Body convertibles? Any info is appreciated (the soccer moms in their minivans scare the heck out of me)!

Happy Oldsmobiling!

8 Track player mounting

Here is a page from the 1971 Assembly Manual that shows where to drill the holes.
Its been more than 25 years since I mounted one in my car, so I don't remember all the specifics. I did note that holes on the case I had weren't exactly the same spacing as the pattern.
If you have A/C, you'll need to replace or cut the duct that mounts to the bottom of the dash (there's a template for that somewhere, too.) It seems that factory 8 Tracks got specific ducts; dealer installed ones were usually just cut.
There is a brace for the rear of the tape deck that is hard to find; I just made one from sheet metal to fit and it has worked fine all these years.

You may want to call Detroit Eaton Spring company, they can supply any spring you desire,.. if they are still in business...

Try contacting ESPO Springs n Things in Danville, PA and talk to Laura. They are great people to work with, they helped me out on my two 1967 Cutlass cars and got my ride height 1/4" higher than stock which is exactly where I wanted it.

RPO AS1 was the code for optional front seat shoulder belts for convertibles in the 1970 model year. The Fisher Body Manual shows how they are installed.
