Wow! More cheese than Wisconsin! Where do you put the kids on cruise night in the *****'s? And who the heck is Tim? I think they raced for about half a mile or so at 30 mph by the look of it. Then the Olds guy blew his motor, I hope he didn't burn his lips!

That took place at "Fremont Drag strip", just 8 miles from me.
like you said it was filmed about 30 mph. The '50 Olds in the movie, used to belong to a friend of mine. Ron Nickels was the owner of the '50
The '69 Olds was chebby power and there was two of them.
A great movie for a "B" movie.

Hot Rod originally set to air on TV in 1979. One of my all time favorite movies right there

That was one of the better rodding movies back then. The 41 Wlly's is my all time favorite car.

In my opinion 69 442/cutlass s had the cleanest lines of all the muscle cars the interior was just as clean.

The way they had the wheels stick out on both cars is just plain wrong. The move was a classic B car movie
