Thank you in advance don't post much; but read a lot I have a friend that has his fathers 1969 442 bought in 1969 he is a VET and now A Nevada Highway Patrol man ;He sent his car 3 years ago to Mondellos in CA several Thousands later his discharge $ they didn't put his car back together( engine trans rebuild ) now he is got it back and putting the engine and trans in the trans doesn't fit the drive line the shaft is to small and he is worried he dosent have the original engine and trans here are his numbers VIN 344879Z135703 Engine pad stamped 38M365278 G Block C heads Trans number 37M374110 in 69 doesn't the VIN and engine number have to match thank you

You are correct. The VIN derivative on the block and transmission casing should match the VIN on the car for these components to be original to the car. It looks like you have a 1969 4-4-2 holiday coupe built at the Fremont, CA, assembly plant. It looks like the engine came out of a '68 model year Lansing car (C heads would be correct for '67-'69 model years) and the transmission appears to be possibly from a '67 model year Lansing car.
