To fit the Blazer backing plate my spacer needed to be 3"od x 2"id x 1/2" thick. I don't know the dimensions of your parts, so your set-up may require a different specs.

The spacer should fit behind the axle retaining plate. If it's too thick, it will cause the retaining plate to bend; too thin and the bearing and seals will walk around under load and your wheels and tire could rub on the inner fenders when turning.

The original AC Delco washers on the left have concentric ridges which the parts store replacements do not. I'm going to try reheating the AC Delco washers to soften them up for better sealing.

I had to modify the lower saddles to fit the Champion radiator tanks. I was unable to find any ready-made saddles that would fit so I cut down some longer ones.

The tapered bearings must be installed in the correct direction. The outer groove goes to the wheel side of the axle which orients the taper toward the pumpkin.

These are the A9 bearings from National. All replacement bearings are a tapered style where the original bearings for BOP rear ends previously used a cylinder type bearing which was much less sensitive to the end play issues I'm currently fighting.

This is the damaged outer wheel bearing race. If you look closely you can see small nicks caused by excessive pressure on the rollers. The shop should not have pressed against the inner race (not the outer race) when pressing them on to the axles which would have prevented this damage.
