Beauty rings stolen

Someone stole three beauty rings from my car. It has the rallye wheels in 14".
Can I just buy any 14" rings or are they ones for my wheels special in some way?

Not all trim rings are created equally. First, the 14X6 and 14x7 wheels use different rings, as you might expect. Also, the contour of the ring at the outer lip differs among the different manufacturers.

I have a couple sets of 14" rings. $20 a set, plus shipping. They were removed from 14x6 Olds rally wheels.

70 should have 14 x 7 but that doesn't mean that's what your car has now. does the car have disc brakes?

I would think that your best bet would be original trim rings; if you can find them, that is.

But if you can't, you might want to check out Fusick.

They have reproduction Stainless Steel Trim Rings for all 1970-72 SSI & II(deep) 14" x 7" Wheels. Catalog 44C, page 33.

Good hunting.

Yes it got discbrakes! I measured the rings and they are 15.5" diagonal and 3" deep. Is it possible to tell from this if its 14x6 or 14x7?

I tried to to measure the rims but that wasn´t easy! I got this result: Here I measured from the outer and inner edge of the rim
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/...IMGmeasure.jpg

And here is some numbers I found on the rim: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Mattia-SS/C.jpg
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Mattia-SS/A.jpg

Depth of the ring: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Mattia-SS/B.jpg

And how the hole is placed: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Mattia-SS/D.jpg

Like I said it was hard to measure and you will hopefully see on the pics what looks most true.

Are there any bulletproof method to measure the widht of the rim? I don´t want to order the wrong chrome rings so I got to be 100% sure about this.

Show us a picture of the whole wheel. I believe you should be able to tell the difference between a 14x6 SS1 and a 14x7 SS1 just by looking at them.
I'm pretty sure the 14x6 uses a much thinner trim ring and should be easy to see.
But...if you really want to be absolutely certain, the measurements are on the wheels, on the inside. If you have one without a tire on it this will be easy...it will have 14x6 JJ or 14x7 JJ stamped into the wheel.

Maybe someone who knows for sure that they have 14x7 rallye wheels can measure their beautyrings?
Mine are 3 inch deep.

I really want to make the car look complete again

Edit: i found a company who had a tool to measuer the rim and it was 7".
